Raquelle of
Out Of The Past smacked me with her trusty wrench once again. This time it was the actors that came to me in living color.
In no particular order and with many fine names left out, here goes...
Spencer Tracy
Rudolf Klein-Rogge
Ronald Coleman
Robert Montgomery
Richard Barthelmess
Orson Welles
The Four Marx Brothers
Lawrence Gray
Joseph Cotten
James Stewart
Fredric March
Erroll Flynn
Emil Jannings
Eddie Cantor
Cary Grant
Bela Lugosi
Roscoe Arbuckle
Since everyone I know have been tagged or smacked already, I'm resting my case.

Excellent! I know that we are good friends since we both share a fondness for Richard Barthelmess.
Great job with all the colorization. Robert Montgomery looks so different in non-B&W.
I hope I beat King of Jazz for first comment!
Yes, and quite soundly. :D
Interesting gallery!
OMG I did not recognize Bob Montgomery. Great find there! Archibald Leesh looks barely recognizble too.
Great list. IMHO, Orson Wells was a ham actor but a brilliant filmaker.(You cant have everything Orson! You have to make sacrifices like Clint Eastwood does and give the lead to someone else!)
I totally appreciate how Spencuh tops your lists!
Raquelle,
Richard Barthelmess was instrumental in the developement of the ealry talkies so I simply had to have him on a list like this.
Robert Montgomery sure looks different in color. I wasn't sure of his eye-color maybe I got it totally wrong.
Nik,
See my list as a bunch of interesting actors instead of a top 20 list.
As you surely have spotted I'm trying to keep my list in line with my blog. That explains the frightfully young Archie Leach and Jimmy Stewart, years before their prime.
Orson didn't make any films until 1940 but he was such a genius he simply had to be on it. To call him a "hammy actor" is unfair.
Striking colorization, really beautiful.
What an interesting list! Those photos of Ronald Coleman and Robert Montgomery are my favorites. The Ronald Coleman one spent many months on my desktop. Amazing colorization!
You get style points for using color - that's for sure!! Good list, too.
I feel left out, no one has smacked me yet ;o)
Last, I feel it is my public duty to provide a real, live color photo of Bob Montgomery cause they're nearly impossible to find :0)

I'm so glad that you put Roscoe Arbuckle and Eddie Cantor on there. They don't get nearly enought attention as actors!
You are so right, Elizabeth.
Did anyone mention you have a marked resemblance to Mabel Normand?!
;D
Riktigt fina färgläggningar. Många av mina favoriter fick du med, för att inte nämna bröderna Marx. Det finns en anledning till att min blogg heter "Why a duck?"
What she said.
I didn't mean to offend you with my Orson Wells comment, but that was just my opinion.
And I think it is so cool that you tried to get pictures from that early 1930's period. I love details like that; I wasen't quick enough to catch it.
I guess after seeing Spencer Tracy I just mistakenly assumed the list had something to do with acting.
